Чоловік вже 13 років є татом чотирьох чарівних дівчаток 12-ти і 9-ти років та близнючок 4-річного віку.

"Є дуже багато приємного у батьківстві, тому я хочу поділитися тим, як це насправді, і одночасно додати трохи гумору", – зазначає Саймон.

Коли у дітей прорізуються зуби.

"У дітей зараз прорізуються зуби, і дівчатка хочуть, щоб ми всі про це знали.

Електронного листа було б достатньо, але, схоже, вони вважають за краще використовувати свій голос та крик, щоб передати повідомлення про те, що в них прорізуються зуби і це боляче", – написав Саймон.

За його словами, цей звук більше схожий на звук пораненої тварини, який може змусити вас покінчити з цим.

"Я не можу їх звинуватити, хоча це як міні-сцена "Чужих", – додав чоловік.

Teething is now in full effect and the girls want us to know all about it.

An email would have sufficed but it seems they'd rather use their voices to get the message across that they really aren't enjoying this stage of development.

Its not straight screaming, it's more like the sound a wounded animal might make that just wants to end it all.

I can't blame them though, it's like a mini scene from 'Alien' in there at the moment, just in very very slow motion (and of course teeth don't then go on to kill you and the crew of your ship so a few subtle differences but essentially the same).

"Моя донька вивчає біологію в школі".

"На цьому тижні моя найстаріша вивчала сексуальну освіту в школі.

Вона дуже розуміється в цьому, в основному і через маму-акушерку.

Вона знає набагато більше, ніж звичайна дитина, зокрема про пеніс та вагіну", – розповів Саймон.

Як він сказав, одного вечора донька вирішила поставити татові інтимні питання, що змусило Саймона відчувати себе "збентеженою дитиною".

"Мої особисті фаворити серед питань: "Тату, а ти користуєшся презервативом?", "То чому ти маєш так багато дітей?", "Ви з мамою займалися сексом більше 3 разів?" тощо.

Тато з донькою поговорив на інтимні теми.

Татам варто дотримуватися свого місця на ліжку.

"Це тільки я чи всі чоловіки вчаться спати на 8-дюймовій смужці на краю ліжка? Незалежно від розміру ліжка або скільки людей на ньому, я завжди опиняюсь у "чоловічій зоні" ліжка.

Я настільки звик спати в цій обмеженій частині, що впевнений, що міг спати на стіні і не впасти", – відповів тато.

Is it only me or do all men learn to sleep on an 8 inch strip at the edge of the bed? Irrespective of the size of the bed, or how many people are in it, I always find myself relegated to the 'man zone'.

I've become so used to sleeping on this limited area of bed real estate, that I'm confident that I could sleep on top of a wall & not fall off.

On the other side of the bed (the promised land), @mother_of_daughters sleeps like a star fish all night long, kneeing me in the back and generally complains about me coming to bed too late, being too cold or my foot encroaching onto her territory.

At least the bed's nice and warm, even if the reception isn't sometimes! I hope that next Sunday, on #National.

New parents seem to gravitate to me as an "experienced parent" (i.

the tired looking guy shivering in the corner) and ask "do you know where so and so is please?" My reponse - "Sure 3rd shelf, half way down on the left hand side, buy 3 & get a discount,although you want to use that in combination with blah blah blah." I'm like a walking encyclopaedia of baby product info.

I used to use my brain to solve global corporate wide problems.

I now use it to calculate bulk buy discounts.

"У житті кожного батька настає час, коли він стикався з фактом, що купа дитячого одягу, яку сім'я накопичувала останнє десятиліття, тепер зайва, оскільки діти більше не можуть його носити.

Для нас сьогодні був такий день, тож після океану сліз наступне, що потрібно зробити, – це розібрати одяг у 3 купи: благодійні пожертви, віддати друзям чи рідним, продати", – написав Саймон.

За його словами, єдина проблема полягає в тому, що кожне вбрання 5-річної давності, яке він діставав із старої сумки, спроводжувалося фразами: "О, ви пам’ятаєте, коли вона носила це на літній вечірці?".

There comes a time in every parents life that have to face facts - The pile of baby clothes they've amassed over the last decade of procreation is now redundant as there are simply no more babies to hand them down to.

For us, today was that day, so after mopping up the ocean of tears that accompanies this kind of earth shatter revelation, the next thing to do is organise into 3 piles: 1).

Charity donations 2).

give to friends and family & 3).

The only problem is that after 2 hours, every item that i pulled out of the musty bag we haven't seen for 5 years was met with "oh do you remember when she wore that to so & so's summer party?" Honestly, no I don't as in my experience, only the women in my life seem have the ability to remember what people wore at given points in time, but now that item has some kind of inreplacable sentimental value so it's going in pile 4).

The keep pile, even though we don't need it.

The only thing more frustrating was finding clothes we'd bought only for the kids to grow before they'd worn them.

They still had the sodding tags on.....
